Vertical Orange Light In The Sky Over Ingleby Barwick Teesside North East England UK

Me and my girlfriend spotted vertical orange light at 7:45 p.m. on 4th March 2015 from Ingleby Barwick Teesside North East England.

It was an amazing sight, and I still can’t work out what it was, as I don’t think it’s ice crystals as wasn’t even that cold that night.

Orange Lights In The Sky Above London England

Hi, my partner and I were out in our drive way when we see three orange lights go past.

They seemed to be  apart from each other but all seemed to be the same in colour, size and shape. Each one took a slightly different direction, but all went the same way.

We are not twitchers and were not looking at anything in particular, but we both found this to be very strange as we have never seen lights in the sky like theses. Hope this helps?

Orange Lights In The Sky Over Aglionby Road Ends Carlisle Cumbria England UK

I was at the Aglionby Road Ends Carlisle Cumbria England  just before midnight on the 31st of December.

It was a clear mild night, in fact it was the mildest New Year’s night I can remember.

There were fireworks going off from the direction of Carlisle. I had, had two relatively large and strong glasses of whisky, but nothing exceptional and I certainly was not drunk. I looked up to the sky and seen an orange light.

At first I thought it was a firework, then it moved from the southwest in an arc a little higher than the moon and moved south, south, east at a fairly fast pace and disappeared in a cloud.

I then decided that it was an air craft and I walked towards home, stopped and looked to the sky and seen another light the same as the first doing the same thing.  I watched the sky and seen three more lights, but smaller than the first two.

These seemed as if they were in arrow formation with the first ahead of the other two.

The moon came out from behind a cloud and the first light passed in front of  it, they all disappeared in the same direction as the first two.

I would say that the group of three was lower than the first two. I went on home and first footed our house as normal, told my partner what had happened and then I looked out to the sky from the garden, but I now realize I was looking in the wrong direction, I have typed this in to my diary at 07:43 on the first of January.

Orange Object Seen Over Sawbridgeworth Hertfordshire England UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: 2:59 a.m. I was awoken by my 3 year old son to an incredibly loud noise, I thought it was a low flying big plane (we are right near the airport so this does happen sometimes!) ,but the sound went on at the same level for 13 minutes from when I awoke.

The sound was constant, so I deduced it can't be a plane as it would have gone in 2 minutes. Looked out front and back window, but could see nothing.

3:09 a.m. - Another noise, a helicopter, clearly circling (due to variation in volume and pitch) extremely close. At this point I thought a plane must have crashed, but a jet engine still going (because constant noise) and that a helicopter was there to rescue or report.

3:12 a.m. - Both the helicopter and the other extremely loud noise faded away.
My Dad, who lives a couple of hundred yards away, said he woke at 3:10 a.m. and he could hear a background hum and something that sounded like a helicopter, but not quite right.

He heard the noise move to the direction of our house so he looked out the window and saw an orangey orb (a bit Venus looking) and what looked like an aircraft with a green and amber light on it.

Strangely enough my friend was in Harlow hospital on 16th and 17th and said she heard similar noises in the night, she was worried due to how loud it was, but the hospital staff said it was just a helicopter, but she was sure it wasn't.

I saw 3 orange lights in the eastern sky tonight around 6:30 p.m., 3 in a row across. They went off and on 3 times all at the same time and then just went away.

They were to high in the sky for Chinese lanterns.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Very low in the evening sky at around 4.30 p.m., a large bright orange sphere, which I thought was the moon as that evening it was passing through earth's umbra.

It hovered or hung for around ten minutes, then strangely went from view. We were curious because the moon was supposed to appear darker, not bright orange. What was it we saw?

Two Red Objects Flying Over Newcastle Upon Tyne Northeast Of England UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was on the phone in our garden because we can't get signal inside, when I saw these two red flying objects next too each other flying across the sky, they were visible for about five minuets.

They were too low to be satellites.

After researching I have discovered that only 2 hours ago they were sighted in Canada, how could they have got over the UK already? (again, too low to be satellites).

Red Lights In The Sky Over Eastbourne East Sussex England UK

Number of Objects: A series of four red lights in formation in a line of four, some were in a triangle formation of three and one on its own. These objects were moving across the sky in formations of four moving quite slow.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was walking my dog last night 04 10 2012 when I saw a line of four red dots or lights in the sky. After a few seconds another set of four appeared behind the first four, three of which were in a triangle formation.

Then another set of four this time in a more uneven line of four. The kept coming then my dog got spooked by something, so we went home.

Two Balls Of Light/UFOs Make Unbelievable Maneuvers In The Sky Near Garroby Hill East Yorkshire England UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was travelling to Selby North Yorkshire, England, from Kirby Underdale which is situated at the top of Garrowby Hill, East Yorkshire, England.

I turned onto the A166, a road that spans from York to Bridlington. I was heading towards York at this point.

Upon my turning right onto this road, I instantly noticed two lights travelling, side by side at the same speed tracking parallel to my car, it was almost as if it was the reflection on the glass.

I realized that this was not the case after maybe 8 to 10 seconds of keen observation, the object's moved at a faster pace in the opposite direction (the right, back the way I came) about a centimeter in distance from my perspective.

The object of light to the left (I have shivers writing this) accelerated off to the left in the opposite direction to the way they had initially started moving, steady at first then bolting off at an incredible pace to the likes of which I had never seen.

The other light (the only way to describe it) "chased" after it at the same speed.

I was shocked to a state that I rang my mother who's house I had just left to explain what I had just seen.

Being in the Royal Navy, and having first hand knowledge of flight observation, the mechanics of flight and fast moving air contacts, limitations and air patterns, what they look like from a distance, in day and night.

I know that those "lights", moved as an actual air craft due to their displacement in time, speed and acceleration.

In my opinion, the pair of white bright lights at approximately 3 to 5 miles away in the sky that night where pushing, not only "the envelope," but unworldly speeds, that in my experience where well in the excess of mach 5, in a matter of seconds.

The two objects travelled across the sky until my vision was blocked by horizon tree line. It would of taken a fighter jet 10 seconds at least to get to that point. They where there in maybe 4 or 5.

I strung together an unsuccessful list of possible objects that move in this manor, there isn't any.

I was the only vehicle in the area, it wasn't until a mile down the road I passed a car heading the other way.

Spider Shaped UFO With Landing Gear Over The Capenhurst Nuclear Plant England UK

Time:  1:00 a.m.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: It was about 1:00 a.m., maybe a little later my ex husband was out in the garden with our dog. He called me out to see a spider shaped craft in the sky.

It was hovering near Capenhurst nuclear plant, the craft had a spider like shape with 4 or 5 legs coming down from the main body, each leg had coloured lights running down them.

My ex then ran upstairs to get his camera and the craft started moving very slowly towards me, I never felt any fear, strangely I felt very much at ease.

The craft continued to move slowly until my ex reached the kitchen door with his camera, then the craft changed directions and shot off and was out of sight within a few seconds.

We never told anyone about this which happened about 12 years ago, but the image will stay with me forever, truly amazing experience.

Bright White Light With Orange Broken Tail Seen Over West Vale Greetland West Yorkshire England UK

Hi, just seen something similar tonight over West Vale/Greetland. It was a bright white light at the front with an orange, broken tail. It seemed very low in the sky and passed just in front of us.

Thought it was the police helicopter at first it was so bright and close!

I was wondering if anyone else had seen it when I came across your request for sightings online.

Orange Objects Flying Over Seaton Delaval Northumberland England UK

I saw exactly the same thing in May 2012 over Seaton Delaval heading out to sea? Ten minutes later another on the same flight path heading same direction. There was no explanation, but I know for a fact was no lantern.

The photo looks exactly the same and just adds to the mystery of what they really are?

Orange Crescent Moon Shape Object Seen Over Exmouth Devon England UK

Hello Brian, your website is the first that came up on Google when I typed in 'orange crescent moon shape disappearing'. To give a time date and place before I begin, it's the 12th August 2012 in England and this all happened at around 2:35 a.m.

I was smoking a cigarette out of my bedroom window, which faces east and I saw a beautiful glowing moon (object). At first I thought it was the moon, and was admiring the vibrant colour (as I have seen red moons abroad before, so thought it highly possible for there to be an orange moon and counted myself lucky).

It must have been around 2 minutes before it disappeared within seconds. Unfortunately I can't say how long it was there, as I only saw it for the 2 or so minutes I had noticed.

I immediately realized that the sky is not starry as we have just had a small and brief thunderstorm and that I could not see the moon from any window. I had my laptop in my hands, luckily, and Googled it straight away.

My first reaction was to think it a UFO sighting and to know that you saw the same in Chicago is to much of a coincidence! I have never seen a sighting before, and have always believed that there is something beyond us, but this has made me want to question things further.

I'd be really interested to know if you've had any other feedback on sightings elsewhere in the world and what you saw. Hope to hear from you soon! Best regards.

2 Large Orange Balls Of Light Over Collingham Nottinghamshire England UK

Time:  9:43 p.m.

 

Good Evening, I just saw your email address on World UFOs website and wanted to report a sighting.

I live in Collingham, Near Newark in the county  Nottinghamshire, England. At 21:43 British Summer Time (This evening 12th July) I saw in the eastern sky 2 large orange balls of light, orbs. These lights at first I thought to be reflections from a street light, until I actually realized they were very slowly moving through the sky from west to east.

 

These two orbs appeared to be a long way away, but were still large in the sky. They were definitely not lanterns. The weather conditions here have been blanket cloud for days. These things were clearly beneath the clouds.

 

I have checked space weather and local weather and cannot find any logical explanation for the sightings.

My first thought was "weird coloured stars", but on having that thought I immediately knew it was incorrect, as these things were way too big to be stars. They were illuminated orange and had quite a glow to them.

 

They were not flashing, and had no "indication" lights on them like an airplane would. These things had no real structure, and were just 2 balls of light.I am a very amateur astronomer, but I know enough about the sky and planets to know that these were not an astronomical appearance - these things were in the atmosphere above my local area.

They were flying side by side, a small distance apart. The pair were heading east, but the left hand one of the pair was moving at a very slight angle towards the right hand orb.

These orbs disappeared extremely slowly behind a rooftop, so I went out into the street to watch them through a gap between buildings. In around 15 seconds, these things had completely vanished without a trace. I could see enough ground and horizon to know they had not fallen below my line of sight. They had just disappeared.

2 friends also witnessed this separately to me. They were 2 miles away to the west down a country lane and spotted the orbs, and the other witnesses raced 2 miles in their vehicle to track these things as they headed east.

 

By the time they reached where I was standing, the orbs had vanished. My friends were totally amazed by what they had seen - a gentleman in the car is the biggest skeptic of the paranormal I have ever known, yet he was totally lost for words and unable to explain these things.

 

Also, maybe by coincidence, while these things were in the sky I was attempting to telephone someone to tell them to look. My cell phone always has full 3G high speed network coverage in this area, indoors and out. I had full signal during this event, yet could not make any telephone calls, not to any number (I tried many, and my phone remained with full service for the duration).

 

My telephone bought up the screen to say it was "dialing" the call, but just stayed on this screen and never attempted to make the connection. I use a brand new smartphone that is 100% trouble free and I know the phone handset was not to blame.  

 

It was as if these things were stopping my telephone from connecting a call. It wouldn't send SMS either. Within 10 minutes of these things disappearing, my telephone resumed connection calls. There was no indication of my telephone losing network or signal at any time, it remained full.

 

I was unable to get pictures, but these things were similar looking to the photos on the internet when searching for orange lights in the sky. Thanks.
