Both me and my girlfriend witnessed several bright orange/red flashes in the sky about an hour ago. I have video, but crappy quality. It lit up the sky like lightning, but looked like explosions. Meteors burning up? Not sure.
The video doesn't reveal much, but I have at least 3 of these on grainy video.
There was no sound or rumble. Girlfriend thinks it could be early meteors from this: http://earthsky.org/astronomy-essentials/earthskys-meteor-shower-guide
