Object Looked Like A Plane On Fire Seen Over Saint Charles Illinois

Date:  Late July 2012
Time:  Approx: 10:00 p.m.

I live in St Charles, IL and saw what I thought was a plane on fire coming out of Midway or O'Hare airports.

The flight path was to the west. Not sure of the exact date (late July) but it was about 10:00 p.m. while I was in my driveway talking on the cell phone to my wife.

Green Meteor Seen Over St Charles Missouri

My wife also saw this green streak across the sky this morning in St. Charles MO. Hwy 94 and 40 at about 6:10 a.m. 10/30/12

Green Object Streaked Down From The Sky Over St. Charles Missouri

I also seen the light. Caught it out of the corner of my eye while driving. Streaked down from the sky.

Additional Information:
On Hwy 40. St Charles Missouri. Just past 6:00 a.m. as I had just picked up my carpooler.

Orange Lights Seen Flying Over Saint Charles Illinois

Time:  Approx: 9:40 p.m.

Hey Brian, I just saw a series of orange glowing lights in St. Charles, IL (8/24/2012). It happened at about 9:40 pm. They came from the east, heading what looked to be due west and then faded away to the north.

There were several of them, and some seemed to be flying in formation. They all appeared to be the same size too, so I would assume they were relatively close to one another.

What was odd was, the ones that seemed to be in formation stayed in formation as they traveled across the sky and changed direction.

Deep Red/Orange Object Seen Flying In The Sky From Ferguson To St. Charles Missouri

 

Date:  July 4, 2012

Time:  11:05 p.m.

 

On the 4th of July 2012, 4 adults and 2 teenage children were sitting on our back porch talking at 11:05 p.m. after the holiday celebration, when I noticed a fireball type craft flying in the sky horizontally from southeast to northwest, from Ferguson, MO to St. Charles, MO or Alton, IL area.

 

Once I pointed it out to the others, they all saw it too. It flew slowly and the path it flew was straight, but did vary every so often and go up or down slightly. It flew over us and continued on until it was out of our sight, descending slightly the further it went.

 

The size of the fireball type craft was approximately 1/8 to ¼ the size of the moon as we see it on earth. The craft seemed rather jagged like it was on fire. It didn’t appear to have a shape other than a jagged ball. It was not close to us, but was easily visible. 

 

The craft made no noise, as the planes etc. We see often in our area do. It was very deep reddish orange.
 

This is the second craft I have seen in this general area. July 4th 1997 I saw a very large craft over Hwy 370 near St. Charles MO, as did thousands of other fireworks watchers.
