Full Description of Event/Sighting: Upon staring out my window at the stars and sky like I do on a nightly basis, I saw a large bright white object that was never there before.

It was too close to the ground to be a star. It was wide and shaped like a disc and gleamed the brightest white that it made it hard to focus on.

I had to keep readjusting my eyes to this brightness. It was hovering well above the houses over a cow field and in the flight path to our airport.

I thought it may have been an airplane, but it didn't move. I ran downstairs to tell my family and came back up to find it was gone.

Large Vertical Triangle Spotted In The Sky Over Pomona Valley California (Written Report/Audio Interview)

"The Vike Report".

Time: Around 10:00 p.m.

Shape of objects: Large vertical triangle with layers of various colored lights.
Weather Conditions: completely clear, cloudless and at least 60 mile visibility.

Description: I lived in Orange County at the time and had come up to San Dimas to visit my parents for the afternoon one summer day. After dinner, when it was time to head home, I decided at the last minute to take a route I normally didn't take.

Driving up from Orange County, I would take I-57 North and then had a choice of either heading West on I-10 and exiting at Via Verde, or continuing up a very steep grade on I-57 and exiting at Via Verde/Bonelli Park.

Heading there, I always opted to take advantage of my inertia and head up the I-57 grade as it was a shorter distance to my folk's house from there. However, on the return trip, I would always travel back via I-10 as re-tracing my path required I drive up to the top of that grade on a surface street from a complete stop and it used a huge amount of fuel to get over 15 mph on that hill. Besides, it gave me the option to take a different path home and see different scenery.

However, this summer evening I felt compelled to take the 'steep route' home, heading up Via Verde and getting on I-57 to travel South. This puts one at the top of a high hill, where you can see almost the entire Pomona Valley spread out below you.

This particular evening it was completely clear with unrestricted visibility and the sparkling lights were quite beautiful to see spread out below.

I suddenly noticed over to my left (E/SE) an odd formation of lights in the sky in the valley below me. It was a vertical triangle with at least three layers of various colored lights which included red and blue--not standard aircraft lighting colors.

What struck me immediately was that it had to be extremely large, given the distance from where I was viewing it; it was hovering motionless and apparently soundless in the sky; and it didn't look like the outline of any type of aircraft or helicopter I'd ever seen in my life.

Both of my parents had their private pilot's licenses, we owned our own airplane and did a lot of flying in the US and Mexico. I myself had over 30 hours of pilot time, including a night flight from San Francisco to Brackett field and many other night flights in/around the LA basin where I had flown as co-pilot, so I was very familiar with what objects in the evening airspace looked like, and this wasn't anything I'd ever seen. Pomona Valley has a lot of air traffic, as in addition to Brackett field, it lies not far from Ontario International Airport.

I wondered if this might be a UFO, and I pulled over to the side of the road where I could watch it, and kept my engine running. There was very little traffic on the roadway, and I had a clear view of it. Due to the distance and the darkness, I was unable to distinguish any shape to the object other than the vertical triangle formed by the pattern of the exterior lights.

There is a small airfield (Brackett Field) nearby, and I considered it might be some sort of experimental private plane launched from there, but when I rolled down my window, I knew it wasn't any 'normal' aircraft because it was hovering motionless and there was no noise at all. Even from the distance I was viewing it, the 'whump-whump-whump' of helicopter rotors could easily have been distinguished, but this was soundless.

I had never formed any opinion about UFOs before this moment, but any previous reports I'd heard had always described a saucer shape, so I was still doubting what I was seeing.

I experienced a sense of complete awe and, at the precise moment I formed the question in my mind 'If that's a UFO, I wonder if they know I'm watching them?' the automatic door locks on my car began jumping up and down at a very high rate of speed--faster than if I had flipped the switch back and forth--there was no way I could have made them switch on and off as fast as they were going!

The door locks jumped on/off about a half-dozen times and then, suddenly, this object accelerated from zero to an incredible rate of speed--very smoothly and with no turbulence or noise whatsoever, and streaked across the south end of the valley headed West towards Los Angeles.

Because the hillside to my right partially obscured my view to the west, I was unable to determine its exact trajectory, and by the time I got back on the road and looked for it, it was long gone.

I drove home, expecting to see a big news report about it--there was no way I was the only person to have seen such a large and unusual object--but nothing was ever reported. I always wanted to call Brackett Field and see if they'd seen anything on their radar that night, but never did because I'm sure they'd have asked why I wanted to know!

Because of the acoustics of that area, the sound of aircraft flying through the valley is easily distinguished, even from a distance. Also, loud noises-such as would be heard from a jet hitting its after-burners would easily be heard as from my parents house (which is set low and protected behind this large hill), you could clearly hear the sound of the jet-fueled roadsters at the Speedway, which is located to the East and buffered by the hill.

After-burners also produce a distinctly visible light/heat signature, and there was no such thing with this object--it simply streaked off at a high enough rate of speed to clear the entire valley in mere seconds.

The entire sighting only took a few minutes, but it changed my life forever.

TV/Radio: No reports whatsoever, which flabbergasted me, but it dovetails exactly with your CBS Tower sighting and your 1985/1988 : Mission Viejo, California sightings listed on this site.

If you wish to forward on a copy of this incident to both of those people, you have my permission. I'm sure that after all these years, they'd be as delighted as I was to learn they hadn't imagined the whole thing! (Pomona Valley is North of Mission Viejo and when I last saw the object, it was headed towards L.A. so I'm sure these 3 sightings are related.)

Two Bright Old Rose Orbs/Objects Seen In The Sky Over Rio Grande Valley South Texas

Date:  Mid February 2003
Time:  1:00 a.m.

In 2003, mid February, a girlfriend of mine and I saw two bright old rose orbs due north of San Benito, Texas in the Rio Grande Valley.

The event occurred at 1:00 a.m. as we drove from Brownsville to Harlingen, Texas on Hi Way 83. I had the car on cruise at 65 miles per hour. The night was cool and crisp without a cloud in the sky.

There was a full moon to my left at about 45 degrees above the horizon. We were enjoying the gorgeous evening.

As we reached the overpass over the Main Street, Sam Houston, the entire town of San Benito was bathed by a beautiful old rose glow which emanated from two bright old rose orbs that appeared suddenly and without any sound to my right just above the down town area at about 15 degrees above the horizon and slowly drifted west for about 3 degrees.

The entire down town area glowed in the beautiful old rose sheen. The orbs were each about a third of the full moon's diameter, but were much much brighter.  

They were in a horizontal alignment and were separated by a distance equal to their respected diameters.

I was able to calculate the next day by retracing the same route that the orbs were seen for exactly one minute. Although our first thought was that they were flares, the light they produced was much brighter than the full moon and they produced no smoke trails.

The local newspaper two days later reported that bright lights had been seen the night of the event.

There is an international airport in the adjoining town of Harlingen, but these were definitely not landing lights.

They were not in the area of the airport and they were so close to the ground that we should have both seen and heard the plane!

As suddenly as they appeared above the horizon they disappeared without a trace!

25 To 30 Plus Orange Lights Seen In The Sky Over Scottsdale And Paradise Valley Arizona

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My girlfriend and I were driving east on Shea Blvd and I spotted maybe 10 orange lights in the sky over Scottsdale. It was an unusual cluster of orange lights that at first looked like planes lined up one after the other as if on a flight path.

However, more just kept coming and they were no longer in lined up formation. In fact they were popping up in random spots that were spreading out in no particular pattern but they were moving.

The lights were orange and not white as plane lights would be. There were no blinking lights to indicate they were landing lights or planes. The lights were just bright orange colored. They kept coming and looked like they were surfacing out of nowhere or from the ground, but they were not coming from the ground over east Scottsdale.

One after another and multiples just kept showing up. They went upward and seemed to be traveling towards us in a westerly direction and also straight up. They clustered, they lined up, they went up in pairs and crossed as if touching then separated and would vanish slowly. It was as if they were playing.

We had pulled over to watch them and a family came out of their house and watched them with us. Finally we got in the car and drove east less than a mile and pulled over again into a cul-de-sac facing south over Paradise Valley.

We watched them continuously surface and start traveling right in front of us one after another. We thought they might come right to us but as they past us they would shoot off into the distance in a way that seemed to be a slow fade but in actuality they seemed to be traveling a long distance at a very rapid speed.

We know for sure they were not planes of any kind as their lights stayed consistent no matter how close or far they were from us or what direction they traveled.
We thought someone must have been releasing them like balloons, but it was not possible. There was also No Wind which would have made them move as they did. These were not balloons.

They traveled in purposeful directions with intent and as they passed right in front of us one after another, over the dark hills of Paradise Valley, it was clearly evident they knew what they were doing and purposefully showed their presence.

There was no sound and they were not from this planet.
 Every one of them had a bright orange flare look to them and every one of them was consistent in color and brightness until they faded away. They all faded away in the same manner with a trickling of light as they seemed to rapidly disappear into the far distance.

This lasted around 20 minutes and we don't know how long they were in the sky before we saw them. But we watched until there were no more. We never thought to count but there had to be somewhere around 30-50 of them over the 20 some minute span we watched.

This event totally reminded me of the 1997 Lights Over Phoenix Incident; however, this was of a magnitude that blows that event out of the water!!

There is no doubt in my mind what we saw and funny thing is, we captured at least one on film but most of them would not show up on our phone cameras despite how bright they were. It was the strangest thing but we documented it.

Brian, it was last night, Saturday, February 16, 2013.

We left my house about 11:00 p.m. and feel it must have lasted at least 20 minutes if not more. 

I left my report on your site because it was the first choice on Google and already had reports of sightings in Spokane, WA, that told of almost the identical experience we had and it had happened just a few hours before on the same night . 

I have seen lots of sightings over the years and have interesting stories, but this was the most unimaginable and closest encounter ever. 

To see so many Orbs and have them moving in the sky in a way that came at us and continually passed by us, was mind blowing and definite confirmation we are not alone. 

I'm just grateful I wasn't alone for this experience and we were not physically affected.

Two Bright Blue Flashes Lit Up A Clear Sky Over San Fernando Valley California (Meteor)

My wife and I were walking in Burbank Hills last night February 14, 2013. At approximately 7:18 we witnessed two bright flashes that covered the entire night sky encompassing the San Fernando Valley as far as the eye could see.

They were about 4 seconds apart. The sky was cloudless and the crescent moon and stars were sharp. We spoke to a few others who also witnessed the same event. No noise followed the flashes.

5 Orange Colored Balls Of Light Seen Over Dayton Valley Nevada

Full Description of Event/Sighting: We live in Dayton Valley, NV at 4,400 feet and are surrounded by mountains. While my husband and I were watching TV (our TV is on the west wall with a very large window on the north wall) I looked out the window to the north and noticed an extremely bright orange round object that came up over the mountains.

It came up fairly fast, a second followed about 1/2 minute later, then a 3rd followed all in formation. I went outside, while my husband stayed inside. I watched as the orange lights moved forwarded then appeared to be moving upwards.

The 1st one finally blinked out, then the 2nd one, then the 3rd one. The 2nd and 3rd objects blinked out at the same place the 1st one did, I remember this as I was using a couple of stars to mark their progress.

I was about ready to go back into the house when my husband yelled, "here comes another". I watched the 4th one, it followed the same path as the first 3 did and disappeared as the first 3 did.

Then again my husband yelled, "here comes another"! The 5th one followed the same path and disappeared as the other four had done.

There was absolutely no noise made by these 5 orange objects.
The weather was cold, about 20 degrees and the sky was crystal clear and full of stars.

Very Unusual Sighting Over Penticton Okanagan Valley British Columbia

Date:  October 2, 1994 or 1995 ?
Time:  Approx: 4:00 a.m.

Hi.  My name is (name removed) and at the time of the sighting I was  in Penticton it was 1994 or 1995.  October 2. I was waiting outside for a ride, I had just finished a night shift and it was about 4:00 a.m.

I was looking at the moon and then from the outer edges of the visible moon. (which was about 3/4 full  maybe almost full), it swirled closed. I would describe it like the way a periscope? Closes.

The moon was not visible for a few moments and then swirled open again. This was repeated for about 8 times in approximately. Ten minutes. Moon, no moon. I watched this and my friend did as well. I’ve never heard of any other experience like this.

Thanks for your prompt reply. Yes as if something was between us and the moon, from my position, and the description is difficult because the scale of what I was seeing is quite in comprehensible.

So if looking at the moon likes like a circle in the sky, then that circle became smaller and smaller until a dot and then nothing, and then began again as a pinpoint of light that became full again.

As for my description of swirling, yes there seemed to be a mechanical movement as though looking through a periscope. That’s not quite the right word. If I could draw it for you or like an old shutter lens closing and opening.

I hope this helps and I was alone for the first few minutes and then my ride showed up, and I pointed out what was occurring, and on our drive home we watched it a few more times from the car.

5 Bright Red/Orange Colored Lights In The Sky Over San Tan Valley/Queen Creek Area Arizona

The wife and I were taking out the trash when she noticed 5 bright red/orange orbs in the sky headed southeast. We live in San Tan Valley/Queen Creek area in Arizona and it was amazing to see.

Three of them were in a huge triangle formation and two of them trailing behind. Then they just vanished one by one after a few minutes of watching them.

Orange Glowing Light Seen From Fountain Valley California Over The Pacific Ocean Off Huntington Beach

Date:  January 8, 2013
Time:  6:33 p.m.

Tonight at 6:33 p.m. from Fountain Valley, Ca., I saw an orange glowing light over the Pacific Ocean off Huntington Beach coastline.

The sky was dark and clear. I could see planes and stars around the sky, but this was totally different.

The light was glowing and would pulsate. I watched for 3-4 minutes then witnessed, what appeared to be, a white light drop from the bottom of the craft, then dissipate.

There was a plane that gradually approached the light and as the plane neared it, the orange light faded and disappeared.

I'm always checking the skies, but this is the first time in my life I've ever seen something so clearly that could not be explained. I Googled it and saw that so many others are seeing the same thing around the U.S. that I did. Crazy!

Bright Red Lights In The Sky Above West Valley City Utah

My wife and I also saw bright red lights in West Valley City, Utah on New Years eve.

The lights were very bright red and were climbing in a loose formation and moving from south to north and at different times they disappeared. 

It was very strange, we had never seen anything like it before.

Large Orange Object Over West Valley Salt Lake Utah

Wife and I both saw this as well and neither of us thought it was a plane or helicopter. To big and close for a plane to stop for that long or to maneuver laterally so fast.

No noise to indicate helicopter and to fast for a helicopter. Hopefully it is military, because I want that on my side.

Large Round Orange/Red Lights Were Spotted In The Sky Over West Valley Salt Lake Utah

Just before midnight on New Year's Eve 2012, I spotted large round orangey/reddish lights flying towards me (in West Valley) (coming from South.) 

There was no motor sound like a plane or helicopter, it seemed to float across the sky. Then it changed direction and with speed went up, up and out of the atmosphere and disappeared in a blink.

8 To 10 Orange Lights Flying In The Sky Seen From Hudson Valley New York

Can't figure out how to post on your site. But I was just outside (about 100 miles north of NYC in the Hudson Valley) a couple minutes after the ball dropped and my fiancé and I saw 8-10 orange lights flying from the south to the northeast.

They were for the most part flying two at a time and disappeared behind the clouds after a minute or two. They were low flying and seemed to have a direct flight plan but at the same time varied in altitude as they went.

Horde Of 20 Orange Floating Lights Over Addo Sundays River Valley South Africa

Good evening Brian, I'm in Addo, on the Sundays River Valley and I have just seen a most extraordinary sight in our skies just over an hour ago now. It was around 21:45 and the dogs were barking mad, so my dad popped out.

Not long after that, he gave me a shout and I cannot begin to explain what I witnessed.

There were orange lights, floating in the skyline, like big and distant flames.

I must have seen about 20 in total, over 5 minutes or so. First, there were a couple, then two more and their orange light shone bright and dimmed intermittently. Then a horde of them just appeared.

I've never ever ever seen anything quite like it. What a mind trip :-)

6 To 8 Orange/Red With Yellow Lights In The Night Sky Over Salt Lake Valley Utah

Time:  Approx: 9:20 p.m.

My family of 4 saw about 6 - 8 "orange" (at times red with yellow) lights in the south end of the Salt Lake valley at about 9:20 p.m. mountain time. From our point in the north end of the valley, the lights appeared to span the southeast end of the valley.

We pulled into a large parking lot and watched them for about 5 minutes. The lights were at times stationary, and at other times would move up and down, horizontally, and diagonally within their own area.

The lights either moved up into the low clouds, or off to the southeast at a sharp angle. Before disappearing, two of the lights moved closer toward us.

6 To 8 Orange/Red Lights Seen In The Sky Over Salt Lake Valley Utah

My family of 4 watched 6 - 8 orange/red lights in a sort of formation (about half of them were at a higher elevation and half lower, but uniform, like an extended letter "W") at the southeast end of the Salt Lake Valley at about 9:20 p.m. Mt. time. 

They were not airplanes and they remained stationary for a time, then moved up, down, or horizontally within their own "area".  After four or five minutes, two of them appeared to move closer to us. 

Eventually they moved up and disappeared into the clouds. Two of them moved up diagonally toward the southeast.

UFO Makes Some Wild Maneuvers Over Heart Of The Valley Oregon

Time:  Evening.

In 1988-ish, a friend and I were sitting on the roof of my parents house observing the stars. We saw a satellite or two, (common brightness, speed ,trajectory). Eventually we saw what looked like a bright satellite moving through sky.
It was way too bright and looked too low in altitude to be a satellite. We continued to watch. Just before it went out of sight, it stopped, did a zig zag pattern so fast it left tracers in the sky and bolted out of sight.

My friend and I about crapped our pants, (we were about 10 years old). A few seconds later it came back across the sky, in opposite direction and did almost the exact same flight scenario.

Stopped at edge of our view for a couple seconds and zoom, zigzag w/tracers then out of sight. We jumped off the roof w/the quickness and told parents, which of course thought we were crazy. 

Whether it's man made or not, it was very much a real craft w/extreme speed and maneuvers beyond known modern aircraft. Witnessed in Heart of the Valley Oregon.

Bright Orange Colored Winged Cylinder UFO In The Sky Over Apple Valley Minnesota

Time:  Approx: 10:00 p.m.

Shape of Objects: Winged cylinder.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Around 10:00 p.m. I looked out my kitchen window to the south and watched an airplane fly by. As soon as it was out of sight, I thought I had seen another airplane come into view when I noticed it was different than a normal aircraft.

The object was surrounded by a very bright orange glow, probably 5 times brighter (or more) than a regular airplane. Just as I noticed the object, its light flared up and it began traveled towards my house.

It was traveling in a zigzagging way and flew directly over the roof of my house. It did not 'whoosh' by like an airplane (it glided very silently) and seemed to be at least six or seven times larger than an normal airplane.

I should have walked to the back of my house to watch it go by, but I was so startled by what I had seen that I just stood there in shock. I only saw the object up close for a few seconds and I could see that it was shaped like an airplane only much, much larger and with differently shaped wings.

I was the only one in the house who saw the object, but I told my father what had happened seconds after the incident. A friend of mine also saw the object, but from a different location in our city.

Blue Light Falls Out Of The Sky Over Coastal Mountains Between Dublin And Castro Valley California

Date:  1999
Time:  Approx: 1:00 a.m.

I was driving heading west on the freeway and I saw a blue light falling extremely fast. I thought it was a small plane that was about to crash.

Just before hitting the mountain range, the light stopped mid air, and then quickly moved back up while moving right, like in the shape of a check mark, and vanished.

I have never seen anything else move as fast as that light. It lasted only a few seconds.

This was also along the same mountain range as incident number one, but down a little ways in the next town over.

Orange Floating Flame In The Sky Seen Between Burnsville And Eagan/Apple Valley Minnesota

Time:  Just after 12:00 a.m.

I saw your post on Vike Factor re: South Minneapolis orange lights in sky.

Last night 9/15/2012 approximately just after 12:00 a.m. I was driving on HWY 35E between city rd 11 (exit 90) and Cedar 77. Between Burnsville and Eagan/Apple Valley Minnesota.

I was driving east on 35E to get off at Cedar exit to go south.

While I was on 35E, I witnessed 1 orange floating flame in the sky. It had no out shape to it, it was only a orange flame floating all alone. I was headed east and it was headed SW to NW along the median between east and west highway 35E.

Today I have tried searching the internet to see what this is? Many try to say Chinese Lanterns, but I have looked at images online and it was not like that. It was a free floating flame orange, floating along.

I was not the only one to witness this also. My son was in a separate vehicle traveling same direction east to Apple Valley and he saw the exact same thing.
