Round Bright Orange UFO Shot Straight Upward And Gone Over La Grande Oregon

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was outside in front of house BBQ some burgers.

My wife happened to be outside talking to me when we looked into the southwestern sky from our home and noticed a strange orange round object kind of seemed as though it was either lightly moving toward us or parallel to us in the sky.

It seemed to most likely to be somewhere around 5,000 feet up, or maybe a little higher in the sky.

We thought it maybe a life flight coming toward the hospital, or maybe a plane, but no other lights and not really moving in any real direction.

My wife went into the house to get plate and when she returned I was looking up at the object. As I heard her return, the object shot straight up and out of sight in not more then a second.

At one moment it was right there in full view and very bright and clear and then gone, straight up out of sight.

I noticed the light went from full size, to a pin hole size to gone in no time. I asked my wife if she had just seen what happened, and she was not looking at it at that moment.

It was a totally clear night with a partial moon and a few stars in the sky.

We were amazed that it was just gone out of sight so fast. Not sure what we saw, but whatever it was, left faster then anything known to man kind.

Did Two Women Become Pregnant During A Missing Time Event On Highway 101 In Oregon USA

Time:  Evening.

I just spent two hours writing this report and just as I was going to hit the send button, zap it got taken. I tried to recover it, but to no avail. I'll try again.

OK, now it's later still and I totally re-wrote it and tried to save it to draft, but it only saved the first half. This is hard work when the computer is playing games with me. So here I go again.

It was 1967, I was 15, my sister was 17, and although we didn't know it yet, we were both pregnant. It could be that we became pregnant during that journey.

We were traveling north from California and were into Oregon on Highway 101 (The Coast Highway). It was nighttime and dark out and extremely foggy.

The highway was only two lanes and very narrow without pull-outs or passing lanes. The west side of the road was a sheer drop down to the ocean.

There was a nice arched two foot tall stone fence built during the depression by government workers to keep cars from inadvertently plunging off into the sea. The opposite side (east) went nearly vertical up a rock cliff face.

We were in a 1955 Chevy car that my boyfriend and I had bought in Winnipeg, Canada. He was driving and I was in the front seat. My sister was behind me and her boyfriend was behind mine.

We had been behind a log truck for a hundred miles, with no opportunity to pass, because of weather and road conditions. My boyfriend was growing impatient as he had a job that he needed to get back to. He decided to take the risk of passing, even though we wouldn't be able to see if there was an oncoming car due to the curves on that twisting treacherous road.

We hadn’t seen another automobile for the last two hours. Against my will and with my teeth gritted, he proceeded to pass. Just as the logging truck was completely on our right side, and our vehicle was about  3/4 a car length ahead of him,  an eye-stabbing bright white light engulfed our car.

It came through the front windshield. I was looking forwards and upwardly through the windshield and it seemed closer than the front of the car.

I braced for the impact that in reality should already have occurred, but in that very same instant, we were in the next town which had been still 30 miles away and it was two hours later in the evening.

My sister said she had closed her eyes when she first saw the light and hadn't reopened them until we were safe.

For whatever reason and by whatever means, we were saved that dark foggy October night in 1967.

Huge White Flashes Light Up The Sky Seen From Outside Of Salem Oregon (Lightning)

Tonight, 2/8/2015, 6:43 p.m. local time there have been the huge white flashes over the area.

This was going on for around an hour, covering miles.

I was going to check the local news next. This would be about 5- 10 miles W, NE of Salem Oregon.

Ball Of Light Falls From The Sky Over Portland Oregon

I just saw the same exact thing here in Portland, Oregon. I am in the southeast sector facing the north when it happened on Friday, Sept 5, 2014 approximately 11:12 p.m. Pacific time.

Obviously, I started to check news and search Google and see if anyone else witnessed this. So far nothing on what happened last night.

I found a link to your blog while trying to search for answers. Any idea what it is? Is it a so called Lighting Ball?

Entire Sky Lit Up Green/White Over Oregon

Hi Brian, I just did a Google search myself for "green light sky over Oregon" and found your site. I work on a ship and I just saw the entire sky light up green.

I was looking in one direction and the person I was with was looking in the other. He saw the sky light up white and I saw green. It was sort of like a lighting flash, or three, and lasted about 2-3 seconds.

Would love to know if you have any further information on this. It was one of the weirdest things I've ever seen. I am constantly looking for things in the sky as I am a big believer!

11 People Watching 3 Orange Lights Hovering In The Sky Over Eugene Oregon

I live in Eugene, Oregon. Sunday night there were three orange lights hovering in the southern sky.

Two of them seemed to be interacting with each other.

This event was witnessed first by a friend, who then called my neighbor. I then got my family to come out.

There were 11 people just outside my house watching this. It lasted between 5 - 7 minutes after we were informed.

They appeared to be travelling in southern direction when all 3 lights just went out.

Entire Sky Lit Up In A Light Blue Color Over Near Mulino Oregon

My daughter just saw the same light about 15 minutes ago. She said the whole sky lit up in a blue color.

Additional Information:
My daughter and her boyfriend saw this near Mulino, Oregon around 12:30 a.m. February 16th, 2013. She and her boyfriend were driving home from the movie theater in Oregon City. 

They were driving in separate cars, when they both saw it, and they said that the whole sky lit up in a light blue color, they described it like lightning, but it was light blue.

Bright Red/Orange Object Flying Over Beaverton Oregon

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was in the backyard with my boyfriend and we live by an airport, so I see helicopters and planes all the time, and I know what they look like.

This was nothing like a plane or helicopter. I saw a bright red/orange orb looking thing and it was flying pretty low and also pretty slow.

It was silent though, and it seemed to change colors between red and orange. There was no flashing lights that you see on helicopters and planes.

As it moved along it was going higher. I have never seen anything like it. I took a video too.

Orange Glowing Objects Flew Through The Sky Over Hillsboro Oregon

To whom maybe interested,I'm just inquiring if you received any stories out of this area of 6 strange lights over Hillsboro OR. on 2/02/2013.
       
I live just east of the Hillsboro Airport with Intel campus between us. I am used to seeing aircraft in the area, but this was something way different.
      
Ever since I was a kid I have been into military aircraft and have been to airshows and have seen what planes and helicopters can do in the air.

There is nothing that I have seen in my life that can do what I witnessed last night.
     
Roughly around 7:45 pm Saturday night, I arrived home(Tanasborn area of Hillsboro) after shopping with my wife and stepped out side to have a cigarette and noticed two large lights moving in tandem.

Orange and glowing with an ever so slight pulsing to them and they moved very slow. Moving out beyond I watched their shapes through the bare tree limbs approaching.

I at first thought they were two planes flying side by side. They particularly stood out because of their color (orange in color) and intensity and for being so low, they made no sound.
       
I began watching in more intently as they took a position roughly above me they stopped moving. Fluttering there the both lights dimmed out slightly like a spotlight maybe.

Reducing down to maybe 4 very faint lights on each, they reignited which then really had got my attention.
       
Before I could react, out out of the corner of my eye, a third light came flying in.

Moving along low to my horizon. It appeared behind the tree line just out from me in the far distance.

This one was moving fast and fluid coming out of the Beaverton area just south east of where the ones that were here before me.

Kind of jogging around in its path it seemed to be trying to catch up to the others.

Moving silent and fast, it made my hair stand up for how unusual it moved.
      
I raced inside and grabbed my camera freaking my wife out in the process, while she was cooking dinner (LOL!). Returning outside, I called my brother in-law who lives in Beaverton while this was transpiring.

He didn't have a clear view of the sky and could not confirm this. While on the phone, a 4th one flew in from the same direction taking position with the others.

None of them were making any sound and were about at a similar level that would put them with the locally flying aircraft landing in the area.
     
In the meantime my hands were shaking and I was trying to get the dam camera to work right, while talking on the phone (smart I know).

I found the memory card was taken out and sent my wife to find it while I switched over to use the phones video.

But sadly, I just have one still shot of a short film that shows how really bright they were.(dam!)
     
My sister heard what was going on and took the phone from my brother-in-law as a 5th and 6th object swooped. I was freaking out by then even more as she asked me to describe what I was seeing.

That was when I finally got the camera to focus enough to capture at least one of them in view as they moved on out of my sight. Due to it’s poor ability to record in the dark.

The image doesn't do justice to what was happening there. So what I have, is one of the objects jotting around with me freaking in the background.
     
The show I was seeing was pretty bright, I'm sure someone else has had to of seen this especially the control tower at Hillsboro airport right west of where I was.

For being so early in the evening and over a such busy area anyone looking up would have instantly taken noticed to this. I thought I would see it on the evening news, but sadly, there were no recent reports.
    
Later on after reviewing what I had captured on camera, I got online and found nothing on this event, but I did come across a video taken by a girl (Wesly Michel) in the same area on December 24, 2012. (The Title: UFO sighting HiIllsboro,OR  December 24th, 2012)
     
She was standing in a shopping mall not far from here and captured roughly what I saw. Six objects moving in the same fashion in the Hillsboro sky with planes flying near by.
      
Which is when my search brought me to you. I found an article on your site of a gentleman back in November of 2011, that had seen something similar to "Orange Floating Chinese lanterns over Beaverton,OR ".

That’s similar to what I had seen, looking basically in the same fashion these moved though with very fluid forward grace and intent.

That’s characteristic of modern aircraft, but how they slightly jotted around maintaining coarse just made it plain eerie!
     
So in closing, I have a video, but of very pour quality of some kind of of air craft I have never encountered before.

Large Orange/Red Crescent Shaped Illuminated Object Seen From Manzanita Oregon

Hi, I Googled what I saw tonight and your blog came up, so I'm writing to you.. 

Tonight, between 10:05 p.m. and 10:13 p.m. I saw the the strangest thing ever in the sky. I am in Manzanita, Oregon, a coastal town on the North Pacific Coast. I live by the water and went toward the ocean to walk my dog.  

The following is the description I sent my friend. The best I can describe it.

I took my dog out for the last time a little after 10:00 p.m. I walked toward the ocean and in the sky, just above the horizon I saw a large orange red crescent shaped, illuminated object. 

It reminded me of what the moon might look like if it was a crescent moon, only a little bigger, sort of like a huge "orange slice" on it’s back with the two ends pointing straight up. 

It was really bright, like the peach color of a bright sunset, or the color the red eclipse moon on my birthday a few years ago. I knew it couldn't be the moon because the moon would not be on the western horizon at this time of the evening. 

My first thought was how could the moon be over there? The moon is the only thing I can compare it to. I don't think the shape was exactly like the moon either. It was way too big to be a star and it too big and bright, to be a boat. This thing was as above the ocean as far as the eye can see.

As I walked toward the beach, it began to dim, get smaller then completely disappeared into the black sky. The night is perfectly clear with no clouds, and stars just everywhere, so I don't think whatever I saw went behind a cloud. It dimmed and simply disappeared.

So strange. I think I saw my first UFO. No crap. It was visible to me for probably about 6 or 7 minutes.

Large Red Crescent Shaped Light Seen Off The Oregon Coast

Time:  Evening.

Just saw one. I was looking west towards the horizon, a large red crescent shaped light sort of just hovered over very low in the horizon. I live on the Oregon coast, and have never seen anything like this.

It loomed in the sky very low on the horizon for quite some time. It gave of a steady fluorescent glow unlike anything I've seen before.

It was in the shape of a Nike “Swoosh”, almost, that is the shape that best describes it.

After a while it looked like it started to 'bleed' light downwards, and eventually turned into a glowing red orb and disappeared.

Has anyone ever seen/heard of anything like this? Very odd and quite disturbing.

Rocket Shaped UFO With Blue Flame Behind Seen In The Sky Between Medford And Grants Pass Oregon

Time:  Around 5:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

I've been on the web all day and cannot find anyone else reporting it.

We live in Grants Pass Oregon.

Yesterday, (January 4, 2012) at around 5:00 or 5:30, we were driving home from Medford.

We were traveling North on I-5 somewhere between the Gold Hill exit and the Rogue River exit.

The object went right in front of our field of vision (as seen through our windshield). It came traveling from the East (sort of) and was headed in the opposite direction.

It was headed down and across as if it were definitely going to crash into the mountains, only a mile or two in front of us.

At first we thought it was a meteor, but then realized it was very close and then we noticed the large blue flame.

I can only describe it as a perfect rocket shape, very big, maybe the size of a 2 seater airplane. The blue flame was unmistakably large.

Very bright blue flame behind it. I hesitate to say the flame was behind it because it looked like the flame was in front of the rocket shaped part.

As we continued to drive, we fully expected that after a mile or two of driving, as we passed the smaller foothills, that we would see part of the mountain in flames and a crash site. The whole sighting lasted maybe 4 seconds.

Clearly, the 5 or 6 cars on the freeway near us saw it too, but no one slowed or stopped as we were traveling at 65 mph and it was dark out. Let me know if you find anything similar, my husband and I are very curious.

3 Red Lights In The Sky Over LaPine Oregon

Date:  December 31, 2012
Time:  Between 10:30 p.m.-12:00 a.m.

Four of us also witnessed 3 different red lights high up on altitude from water wonderland area between 10:30 p.m.-12:00 a.m. on New Year's Eve ( last night).

No sound.
No altitude changes.
No fading out slowly.
Definitely red and spherical .
They just appeared lingered for around thirty seconds and then just turned off from sight.
Very unusual and unexplained .

4 Glowing Red Balls Of Light Over Three Rivers Community Oregon

We are just north of La Pine Oregon in Three Rivers Community. We witnessed 4 separate glowing red balls of light that ascended slowly up, remained stationary, then faded away.

The 1st two appeared together then faded the 3rd appeared about a minute later and the 4th about 5 minutes after the 1st.

Witnesses included myself, my husband and our 2 friends. The whole thing began about 11:15 p.m. on 12/31. Thank you.

Bright Orange Ball Of Light In The Sky Over Central Oregon

Time:  Evening.

My son, 25 years old,  told me he saw this bright, orange light in Central Oregon sky tonight, seemed to start and stop in the sky, and then seemed to go west from the Cascade mountains west of La Pine, Oregon. 

He observed this from Paulina Peak in the La Pine Oregon area,at about 7,000 feet elevation from the parking lot of a Snow Park. You can contact him at (phone number removed) if you wish details. 

His name is (name removed). He and a buddy watched this for about 10 minutes, he has never seen anything like this before. 

He said he heard no noise coming from this light and is pretty certain it did not behave like any aircraft he has seen.

10 Orange Lights Flying Over Tigard Oregon

We were passing through Tigard, Oregon doing some Christmas shopping when we saw the lights. It was approximately 6:30 p.m. at night. I looked up and in the sky were orange orbs, I counted 10 of them. I wasn't driving so I was able to get a really good look.

They were in no particular formation, some were close together, and there were a couple that were not a part of the cluster. They seemed to be moving freely, if they wanted to be next to one another, they were.

Sometimes they would get really close to each other and sometimes they would move away. I was able to watch them for a good 3-4 minutes, and I tried to get a video on my cell phone but I was only able to capture 3 seconds, but you can see 2 of the orange orbs in it.

There was no sound, and they did not move like anything I had ever seen before. I was able to stick my head out the window and keep my eye on one of them before it went straight up and disappeared into the clouds.

My friend who was driving also witnessed them. My only regret is not pulling over and getting a better video. It was very disturbing to me, I have never experienced anything like this before.

I do not know what the orbs were, but they were not normal and I have no explanation for it.

Cluster Of 20 To 30 Bright Yellow/Orange Lights Over Tigard/Portland Oregon

I saw them too, I was returning to my apartment on Durham Rd/108th Ave after picking up a pizza. As I turned into my apartment parking lot, facing north, they were directly and plainly visible in the night-sky. 

There were more than 6 or 7 and I saw a cluster of the bright yellow/orange lights composed of about 20 - 30 individual lights. As soon as I saw them, I stopped my car and just watched/observed. It was not raining. 

There was a cloud cover and the lights were below the cloud cover. They appeared to be stationary, just hanging in the sky. After about 30 seconds, I quickly parked my car, ran inside and yelled for my 13-year-old son to come outside quick, which he did. 

We both stood and looked at the bright lights, which now appeared to be moving slowly in a direct northward direction. My son ran back inside to get his camera. Less than a minute later he returned, but by then, all but three of the lights had faded into the north-bound night sky, perhaps into the clouds. 

The remaining three lights were growing dim quickly. By the time my son got his camera turned on and took the photo, I could only see one one very faint light remaining which quickly disappeared.

Anybody driving on north-bound Hwy 99 at this time, about 6:00 p.m. couldn't have missed these lights.

The cluster of lights was more or less randomly spread as if a 12 gauge shotgun had been fired into a wooden board from about 20 - 30 feet away.

The lights were in no particular arrangement within the cluster, but they were more or less evenly spaced.

About one hour later, I was outside again. The cloud cover was dissipating and I could see the moon and some stars through clear patches in the clouds. I saw two more bright lights approaching from the southeast, but I assumed these were just typical commercial jet liners since I often see them when I'm outside smoking, making their usual approach to PDX.

As I watched, the two jets did not follow the regular pattern, and they were also flying very low , under the dissipating cloud cover. They didn't have the usual lights. They were headed directly toward the point where the batch of bright yellow/orange lights faded away. 

They were going very fast, but not producing a significant amount of noise even as they passed nearly directly overhead. I assume they were military jets.

I had a UFO sighting experience many years ago and didn't think I would even witness another sighting, but this one was for real. Unless it was a very elaborate and well-financed hoax of some sort, I just can't think of any rational explanation for what we saw.

UFO Stops Abruptly Changes Color To Red Then Bright Gold And Military Jets Over Eugene Oregon

I saw something last night at about 5:30 p.m. Pacific Time I live in Eugene Oregon. Myself my roommate and one of my girlfriends we were standing out in my driveway smoking a cigarette.

A few miles behind our house in the west I see what looks like a comet tail and all shoot straight up into the sky. It started off this blue/white hazy color. It stopped abruptly then changed to a bright red then to a bright gold, it zig zagged then took off to the north.

All of a sudden we hear and feel this loud boom like jet engines radiating from every direction. Now if that isn't creepy enough, about 5 minutes later we see this light at tree line level hovering down our street making no sound at all  with bright yellow/white lights.

Couldn't make out an exact shape, but it was massive and coming straight for us. I yelled for them to get in the house, but by this time I had my gun loaded and out the door with this bright massive light and on the phone with the police.

Overhead 4 military jets flew by and this thing took off faster then I've ever seen something move. It almost looked as if it had dissipated into thin air going east.

I can't explain what I saw and can't help, but feel crazy.
