Very Unusual Sighting Over Penticton Okanagan Valley British Columbia

Date:  October 2, 1994 or 1995 ?
Time:  Approx: 4:00 a.m.

Hi.  My name is (name removed) and at the time of the sighting I was  in Penticton it was 1994 or 1995.  October 2. I was waiting outside for a ride, I had just finished a night shift and it was about 4:00 a.m.

I was looking at the moon and then from the outer edges of the visible moon. (which was about 3/4 full  maybe almost full), it swirled closed. I would describe it like the way a periscope? Closes.

The moon was not visible for a few moments and then swirled open again. This was repeated for about 8 times in approximately. Ten minutes. Moon, no moon. I watched this and my friend did as well. I’ve never heard of any other experience like this.

Thanks for your prompt reply. Yes as if something was between us and the moon, from my position, and the description is difficult because the scale of what I was seeing is quite in comprehensible.

So if looking at the moon likes like a circle in the sky, then that circle became smaller and smaller until a dot and then nothing, and then began again as a pinpoint of light that became full again.

As for my description of swirling, yes there seemed to be a mechanical movement as though looking through a periscope. That’s not quite the right word. If I could draw it for you or like an old shutter lens closing and opening.

I hope this helps and I was alone for the first few minutes and then my ride showed up, and I pointed out what was occurring, and on our drive home we watched it a few more times from the car.

Bright White Object Makes Sharp Turn In The Sky Over Penticton British Columbia

Shape of Objects: Undetermined, but bright white light.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: We were having a family reunion and most company was gone when I started to stargaze. Coming from the northwest was the classic orb type light and it was moving towards us to the east.

No noise, no flashing and no other coloured lights visible. It got just about over the house when it cloaked out. I saw it faintly going back in the direction that it initially came from and I no longer was able to track it.

My brother, who has better eyes said that it was still visible and he showed me with his finger and then I was faintly able to follow it with him when it turned sharply and went directly northeast until we could no longer see it.

Now I have seen many orbs cloak out, but have never been able to see it change directions if they indeed did in my past sightings. I am excited having seen this as it is new information for me as a frequent sky gazer. Thanks Brian.

Three White Colored Balls Of Light Racing Across The Sky Over Penticton British Columbia

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I looked up and saw what I thought at first was a shooting star due to how fast the objects were travelling.

My cousin and I looked up and saw three white balls racing each other across the sky.

Two were swirling around each other then they accelerated and disappeared.

Green Object Roughly The Size Of The Moon Seen Over Penticton British Columbia

Time:  Approx: 10:45 p.m.

Hi Brian, my name is (name removed) and my friend and I were in Penticton the night of August 7, 2012 when we were stopped at a stop light and he started freaking out telling me to look!

When I looked up there was a green orb really high up in the distance approximately the size of the moon with a V shaped darker object in the center that looked almost like an arrow head.

A few seconds after we started looking at it it dropped down in the sky extremely fast and then disappeared.

We weren't going to tell anyone until I looked it up this morning on your site and found that someone had seen a similar green light about an hour later. I hope you find this interesting.

Fast Moving Deep Purple Colored Object Seen In The Sky Over Penticton British Columbia

Time:  10:10 p.m.

Sitting outside our motel watching for satellites, when 4 of us saw an object moving very fast across the sky from south to north.

There was an indeterminable shape with two horizontal lights. The shape suddenly banked west and disappeared. It was as if the shape went vertical as it banked.

Time about 2 seconds. Colors deep purple? Very exciting!

Purple/Blue Lights On Saucer Shaped UFO Traveling Over Penticton British Columbia

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Purple bluish lights coming from object travelling noticeably fast across the sky.

We were standing on my deck, facing south, watching object go from west to east. Neighbors dog barked the whole time the object was travelling overhead. Total event lasted 1.5 minutes.

UFO Had Bright Lights On The Bottom Of The Craft And Seen Over Penticton British Columbia

 

Date: June 15, 2012

Time:  Daytime sighting.

 

I was sitting n couch and I happened to glance behind me out my huge living room window. It was daytime and good weather. I seen what looked like a helium balloon going up in the far distance in the sky.

 

So I continued looking and then couldn't see it. So went outside and it was coming kind of towards my place, but it was flying kind of fast. At first I thought it was a helicopter, but it was flying kind of erratically and there was no sound.

 

As it got closer I could not make out what it was as it looked as though it had bright white lights on bottom, but no sound and flew across sky in not a straight direction.

 

Then I lost it in a cloud, I ran to back yard, but the tree was in way and so I lost it, but it was small and it was very high up. It looked the size of a balloon, but a balloon couldn't have made it the distance in that quick of time, and it was still outside no wind.

 

So I'm just puzzled. I was wondering if anyone else had seen it. Thanks from (name removed) in Penticton B.C. Canada.
