Hi, I live out on Lummi Island and was waiting in the ferry line (mainland side, 9:10 p.m.) when I saw six lights. I got out of my truck and they were sort of like in formation, and then changing.
Some would blink out and then reappear. A couple of friends were in the car behind me and they got out and saw them, too.
Then they all disappeared and there were at least three planes in the air.
They were not planes. They would have been hovering over Bellingham Bay. A friend of mine has some great pictures he took on the 4th of July of them.
They seem to be frequent visitors lately. Spooky? Sort of.

August of 2012, I had just come home from college close to 11pm that night when I lived on Williams Street in Bellingham WA and just as I was walking down the street to my home I looked up to see about 20-25 orange orbs flying in a V shape pattern first going to the right then slowly shifting and heading slowly to the left. By the time I had a chance to grab my cell phone to record this all but 4 or 5 had quickly dissappeared I would say in less than 30-40 seconds this took. I was greatly surprised by A: the number of orbs and B: the pattern of which they we're flying near Bellingham Bella in Bellingham WA. I had no previous knowledge of the Phoenix light's incident up until very recently. So I was very surprised to see that what I saw was exactly what had happened during the Phoenix light's incident, except with more light's. I had posted on FB to my local friend's if anyone had noticed this but I received no response.
