We've been waiting to find something online about this amazing event we experienced in Lacombe as well. Saturday night, 11:58 p.m. (we checked the time when we realized this was not just an everyday jet squad returning to Cold Lake).
From the southeast first came a group of 6 or 7 'lights', then more and more, heading northwest. Seven adults stood there in amazement and witnessed at least another 10-15 'lights' glide across the night sky, the consensus was at least 21 in total.
All the lights seemed to be following the same path, some were bunched in groups of 5 or 6, a few stragglers then another group would go by. The night sky was silent.
Most lights were bright, but some had the orange glow. Most amazing thing to watch and still wondering what we actually witnessed and very glad others had the chance to see it too.
If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.
Also, please feel free to send in your sightings that have happened years ago. So many of these older sightings are nothing short of amazing.
