Time: Evening.
Hello, my wife and I saw 3 of these glowing orange lights in the Las Vegas South sky last week. They came up from the south rapidly. They suddenly stopped and headed west, then sparkled and disappeared. I did find a video from a live cam in the Gulf of Mexico showing the same phenomenon.

Other reports from March 2012 describe the same lights seen over Las Vegas. I have seen other reports of orange glowing lights world wide this Spring. Hope this helps.
