Bright Half Moon Shaped Object Seen From Richmond British Columbia

Time:  Approx: 2:00 a.m.

 

Hi Brian, was talking to my friend in Richmond this afternoon, May 3, 2012. She told me that two days ago she woke up to go to the washroom at approximately 2:00 a.m. She lives on the six floor of her apartment, so leaves her curtains open.

 

As she was returning to her bed, she happened to glance out towards Mt. Baker and noticed a bright whitish light in that direction. She said it resembled the half moon and appeared to be slowly dimming and then brightening. As she watched she realized it was getting closer and brighter.

 

Then all of a sudden it jumped back to it’s original position where it dimmed almost out for a few seconds then reversed directions and came towards her again, getting brighter and brighter in the process.

 

She watched it go though that routine approximately six times and each time it appeared to be getting closer and brighter, sort of looking directly at a 100 watt light bulb.

 

She is 82 years of age and said she was getting quite scared, so climbed back into her bed and hid under her covers. She heard no noise and forgot all about the binoculars she keeps on her window sill.

 

She was tempted to phone me, but figured I'd be asleep. I don't think I would have been able to see it because of the surrounding homes.
