Lights Seen Moving In Circles Over White Plains New York

Brian Vike’s Note: Good chance these lights might be from searchlights, called Skylights. 

I saw three white lights here in White Plains New York. Today is actually my first time seeing these things.

It was really scary, but my sister-in-law she told me she saw it yesterday, and the day before.

It's goes in circles, like if somebody was using a flashlight from the sky. This happen around 9:00 p.m. and up.

White Object With Red And Blue Seen Over Mastic Beach Suffolk County New York

Date:  March 7, 8, 9, 2015
Time:  11:00 p.m.

Number of Objects: 1 large, several smaller nearby.
Shape of Objects: Circle.
Colour of Object: White with occasional red and blue on bottom.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Over the past three evenings I spotted what appeared to be a star, but after a few minutes it went up in quick motion, but did not disappear.

It also went sideways at times.

It seems like several smaller ones near it that were doing the same thing.
Definitely not stars.

Eyewitness Observes Triangle Shaped UFO Along The New York State Thruway From Albany To Fonda New York (Written Report/Audio Interview)

Date: June 20, 2007
Time: 11:15 p.m.

Location of Sighting: New York State Thruway from Albany to Fonda.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 2
Shape of objects: Triangle.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was traveling from Albany to Utica and as I left Albany I saw what I thought was a bright star to the southwest of me.

As I traveled the light seemed to move northeast. After about 15 minutes the light seemed to be moving along the path of the thruway and I began to catch up with it in the car.

As I neared the Amsterdam exit it was on the North side of the road and I tried to calculate it's height. I estimated that it was between 500 and 1000 feet.

I then noticed two small red lights positioned approximately 1000 feet at 11 o'clock from the triangle shape. A couple of minutes latter they disappeared and I discounted them as possibly a small plane.

As I neared the Fonda exit I thought I would catch it. It seemed odd that the light was continuous and had a halo effect around the triangle and was pure white. It moved over the Barge Canal and I lost sight of it behind the trees. I rushed to the parking area about 1 mile up the road to regain a look at it.

When I pulled in the parking area I jumped out of the car and ran past the trees to see if it was still there. I looked and saw it across the water on top of the ridge 1 mile distant.

It was not moving but sitting near the top of the trees. I watched and tried to convince myself that there was a cell tower or some other structure there. I called my wife about 5 minutes latter and told her I was still looking at it when, all of a sudden the two red lights appeared again directly to the left of the object.

 It slowly rose straight up and as it did the triangle, that had remained positioned over the trees for 10 minutes and remained the same size, slowly, very slowly began to lower itself into the trees. As it did this a shooting star fell to it's right about a 1/4 mile away. After a few minutes it was gone behind the trees.

This occurred on the ridge along route 5 north about 1 mile before the big nose and little nose cliffs and about 1/4 mile from the National Kateri Indian Shrine.

Object With Gold/Yellow Trail Of Sparks Observed Flying Over Ogdensburg New York (Diagram)

Hello Brian I was outside picking up the kids bikes and it was approximately 9:00 p.m. when I turned around facing the southeast I saw a trail of sparks yellow in color and that just appeared out of nowhere.

What was strange about it, there was no noise and the trail was about a mile long in the sky and then it just disappeared like it imploded.

Again the color was gold/yellow and sparkles leaving a trail, it was really cool to see.

Was there a meteor shower that no one knew about that night.

Low Flying UFO Illuminated By City Lights Over Ogdensburg New York (Diagram)

Hello Brian, I have updated rough sketch of what I saw.

I only have access to paint from Microsoft right now no Auto CAD program. I hope this sketch is enough information for your viewers to help with it's identification.

I had just witnessed a number of weird objects and was in the process of heading in that night and all of sudden I had this white light object go over my backyard in the city and witnessed a major power-up.

I then moved to the middle of my backyard that's fenced in and this is when I caught a glimpse of this object. It was completely silent and without lights and a matter of fact the craft was so low that the city's street lights were illuminating the object.

I would guess that the object was at least two stories high minimum and over 3/4 of a city block long, it was incredible on it's side there was these circles and they were 3-D not flat on the object.

All I can say is that we are in a small city and there's just a small airport here nothing military nearby less than 50 miles away, it was one of best and stirring sightings of this year, and I have seen quite a few this year.

I hope other's have seen this object elsewhere.

White Light Circling Around In The Sky Over The Hudson River Stuyvesant New York

Date:  February 18, 2015
Time:  Approximately 4:00 a.m.

White light circling over the Hudson River in the Stuyvesant, NY (USA) Noticed it around 4:00 a.m. and it is still in the sky.

It isn't making any noise, at least I don't hear any, though every now and then I do hear a faint humming, but not sure if it is connected.

Also a plane flew to the east of it, I'm not sure if they were the same altitude though. It has been 40 minutes since I noticed it and it is still just flying around in almost a pattern.

It feels like it is looking for something. This is the second time I've seen a silent white light flying in the sky in Stuyvesant.

The last time was a few years ago, but that light flew north following the river. I wonder if there are connected in a way and I wonder if water is something connected with other sightings as well.

I've heard some UFOs go into the water, not sure if this could be related since it's above the river. If I see it do something other than circle the sky (such as fly into the river) I'll be sure to report it here. I also find it weird that it is similar time as Auburn.

Neon Green Light/Object Falls From The Sky Over Cheektowaga New York

It was a neon green color with a tail and fell straight to the earth.

A Formation Of 7 UFOs Spotted In The Sky Over Hicksville Long Island New York (Written Report/Audio Interview)

Time: Approximately: 9:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Hicksville, Long Island, New York.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 7
Shape of objects: Perfectly round.

Full Description of event/sighting: Every summer, for at least 5 summers, a friend of our neighbor across the street from us would visit his grandmother.

He was the same age as me, around 13 years old at the time. We really got along and I looked forward to his visits. I think his name was Harold.

On this particular visit, I told Harold earlier in the day that I got a small hand telescope for Christmas and showed it to him. I said its not easy to see much through it, however, when looking up at night, shooting stars became my fascination. So I told Harold, let's look for shooting stars tonight. He said OK, sounds good.

I told my parents I was going to Harold's grandmothers that night and I would be home around 10:00 p.m. She said fine. After dinner I walked across the street, met Harold and said we would wait for dark.

It seems to me now it was just when the sun set, we decided to lay on the ground and get the best view of the sky.

Long Island is very long directly east to west, and short north to south. We laid on the ground looking directly east. East of Long Island is the Atlantic Ocean.

Our field of view was approximately 30 degrees up, over small trees east, to straight up overhead. The sky was crystal clear. The sky was also grayish dark, being that the sun had not set that far behind the Earth.

As we were chatting and looking for shooting stars, approximately around 15 minutes, what we saw stayed with me to this day.

Coming straight from the east was a formation of approximately 7 perfectly round objects. We could see them so clearly because they were extremely black against the slightly lighter sky.

Also it was so quiet where our houses were in approximately 1954.

They were passing overhead fairly slow. I don't know what size they were, but I had the notion to raise my hand with thumb pointing out, and with my arm straight over one of the objects, it roughly covered the object almost perfectly.

We did not say a word to each other as they passed over. Directly behind us was a gigantic Chestnut tree. We could not see through the tree.

These objects did not make a whisper of a sound, dead silence. When they passed, I said to Harold, "What the hell was that"!

Their formation was not a V shape. It was just a random grouping, and the spacing between them was approximately 3 thumb widths.

I have never seen anything remotely like that in all the years since, and have spent most of my life as an amateur astronomer, up to 8 inch scopes, photographing the skies.

I only saw Harold for a year or two after that, but I am sure Harold thinks about that day, just like me.

A Stream Of Red Objects/Lights Seen In The Sky At East Amherst New York

Blue Colored UFO Returned And Hovered By Eyewitnesses At North York Ontario

Time:  Around 12:00 a.m. – 1:00 a.m.

Hi, I came across you email address I have a sighting it happened in North York Ontario near Lawrence and Bathurst.

This happened in late May of 2000.

I was walking home with a friend around 12:00 a.m. – 1:00 a.m at Prince Charles Park when I saw a large tire size bluish in colour roundish light about 100 feet the ground fly very fast over me from west to east.

In seconds it was gone. I asked my friend if she'd seen that, which she didn’t. I started to tell her about it as I was freaked out. We still walked as we came closer to Bathurst Street and there it was again.

This time she saw it, it hovered at the same height as a light pole. We stopped, looked at it and ran. I was so scared, this is something we have never forgotten.

Witnesses Room At Their Home Turned A Brilliant Orange At Huntington Station New York (Meteor)

Time:  Approx: 5:00 p.m.

Hello Brian Vike, my name is (name removed), and my wife and I witnessed what appears to be a similar event, but in Huntington Station, NY, on the same day, but at around 5:00 p.m., from a southerly direction.

We were in our living room playing with our toddler son, when suddenly the room turned bright orange, as if the sun had changed hue and intensified in brightness.

This lasted for 1-2 seconds, enough for us to look around our living room and see that it was not a power surge affecting our lights. It was a silent event, and we did not see anything out of the ordinary outside or up in the sky.

No trails of vapor or smoke either. We both looked at each other and were a little spooked by what we had witnessed.

On another occasion last year, as I was driving alone past the Cold Spring Harbor train station (near where I live), I experienced a similar flash of light, only it was a light blue flash of light.

The whole sky seemed to have brightened considerably (it was early evening and the sun had already set). I'm a photographer by trade, and this was not like a camera flash or electrical spark in duration, it was much longer, again, into the 1-2 second range.

Nearly a decade ago, as I drove home from a job with a coworker, we both witnessed a change in the color temperature of our surroundings.

It was a warm, sunny summer day, when it seemed a large area around us, over a mile perhaps, went from the normal daylight warm light to a much cooler one, the type in which we see things after the sun is set.

There were no clouds in the sky, so we thought it was very bizarre. This event lasted perhaps 2-5 seconds.

I don't know what to make of these sightings, whether they be UFO, paranormal, natural, or some kind of group hallucination. We certainly don't do any drugs, and we are in pretty good health. Hope these can help you in some way. Regards.

Glowing Green Object With Tail Spotted Flying Over Taconic Parkway New York

Date:  Late December 2012 and January 2013
Time:  Approx: 3:00 a.m.

With all due respect, I'm not into the paranormal, but this is absolutely true. I work from 4:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. I drive the Taconic 3 to 4 times a week at 3:00 a.m.

In late December I saw the "glowing green object with tail". It was not a shooting star. It was huge and green and amazing, but here's what's really amazing.

About 3 weeks later I saw it again. Exactly the same. I thought, Wow, there it is again! Then last week I saw it again at 3:35 a.m., same place, northern sky, moving north. Always under clear skies.

I travel between Rt. 84 and Salt Point Turnpike. I see it about the half way point and I'm pretty sure I'll see it again.

Bright White Meteor With Trail Of Blue/Green Fell Vertically Out Of The Sky From Ontario To New York

Time:  11:48 p.m.

I was approximately 35KM's west of the west end of Lake Ontario in Harrisburg, Ontario Canada (43.23498,-80.191834), at 11:48 p.m. EST January 21 2013 looking EESE (East-East-South-East) Azimuth of about 100°.

I saw a Meteorite fall from the sky, very bright white with trail of blue/green and absolute vertical descent from 25° angle down to 10° angle above horizon.

Trying to determine the distance from me I was guessing along a line through Grimsby On, St. Catharines On, Lewiston NY, Lockport NY.

If it did impact, where would I find that information ?

In the Fall of 2009 the Meteorite that landed in Grimsby On. passed almost overhead of me was so bright at first I though a car's headlights were right behind me as I rode my
bicycle, after looking behind myself first I then realized the light was from above me.

I did manage to get a picture of the hole it punched through the Alto Cirrus clouds.

Bright Flash Of Light Lit Witnesses Room Up And Seen Yellow/Blue Light In The Sky Over Upstate New York

I was in bed last night 1/21/2013 and around midnight there was a big flash of light that lit up my whole room. I thought a car with high beams on pulled in my yard.

Got up to look and it was just a yellow/blue light then it was gone. Upstate New York. Creepy any thoughts to what it was?

Large Bright Light Travel Downward In The Sky Over Schenectady New York

Time:  Before midnight.

I had almost the same exact experience in upstate NY in bed watching TV and the window to my left lit up. There was a streaming bright light traveled downward from above behind trees and out of my view.

I kept thinking it was like a large fireworks falling in the woods, kept waiting for a boom or to feel the vibration upon impact, but silence. So it must have been very big, very bright and much farther away, this took place right around midnight.

I have been looking today to see if anyone else saw it. Kind of relieved I found this site.

I live in Schenectady, NY.

Blue Flash Of Light In The Sky Over New York

Time:  Just before midnight.

Hello, I was curious to hear about this light flash. I witnessed it as well. I was driving southbound on I-87 in New York when to the west I saw a bluish flash right before midnight.

I brushed it off, but interestingly enough, two of my closest friends experienced the same thing from the same direction and they were about 3 hours away in Tuxedo, New York.

I was just curious if you had any information on this.

Bright Light Steaming Out Of The Sky Over Rotterdam New York

Time:  Just before midnight.

Hello, last night about midnight, (January 21, 2012)watching television in bed, the window just to the left of my view lit up.

I quickly looked out that window to see a very bright light streaming downward from sky top to bottom traveling what seemed to be behind the trees.

I could not tell how far it was, but it was so strong I expected to hear a boom or feel the ground shake, thinking it was like a bomb or fireworks falling in the woods behind my house, but only silence

So it must have been something very large much farther away as it moved fairly fast downward, streaking downward.

I got up and studied the sky and woods for 10 minutes, but that was it.

My getting up startled my wife and I told her what I had seen.

Today, I skewered the internet looking for anything, meteor, whatever that may have been seen in our area and I just came upon your site.
