Green With Red Light And Small Tail In The Sky Over Imperial Beach California

Hi I just Googled to see if anybody had seen the same as me and my daughters.

We saw a green with red light falling from north to south. As we were watching the movie, Divergent in the South Bay Drive-In after 9:00 p.m.

We thought this was a meteor and it did have a small tail.

Has anybody seen this ?

Glowing Green Object With Tail Spotted Flying Over Taconic Parkway New York

Date:  Late December 2012 and January 2013
Time:  Approx: 3:00 a.m.

With all due respect, I'm not into the paranormal, but this is absolutely true. I work from 4:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. I drive the Taconic 3 to 4 times a week at 3:00 a.m.

In late December I saw the "glowing green object with tail". It was not a shooting star. It was huge and green and amazing, but here's what's really amazing.

About 3 weeks later I saw it again. Exactly the same. I thought, Wow, there it is again! Then last week I saw it again at 3:35 a.m., same place, northern sky, moving north. Always under clear skies.

I travel between Rt. 84 and Salt Point Turnpike. I see it about the half way point and I'm pretty sure I'll see it again.

Bright Ball Of Light With Tail Glowing Red/Yellow/Green With Blue Sparkles In The Sky Over South New Jersey

Time:  Approx: 1155 p.m.

I live in South NJ and was letting the dog out about 11:55 p.m. on 1/21 – when I say what I thought was a firework, it was a bright ball shooting almost straight down, also in front of the clouds.

I live in a heavily wooded lot, so most of my line of site was through trees, but it definitely had a tail, glowing with red, yellow, green and blue sparkles. It ended with a bright flash that lit up the cloud cover.

I almost called the police to see if they had reports of fireworks in the area, but I live in the far South Jersey area and don’t expect fireworks at midnight.

I was looking almost due north and it started about 30-40 degrees off the horizon and ended about 10 degrees of horizon.

It was almost as bright as the moon, but not nearly as large and fragmented as it neared the horizon.

I stayed out for another 10 minutes and saw or heard nothing.

Bright White Light With Long Blue Tail And Sound Heard Over Somersworth New Hampshire

Hello, my name is (name removed), I actually was in Somersworth New Hampshire and saw it around late, ten something at night.

For us after the long blue tailed streak was ending, it made I bright white light and small crack sound in the sky. That was instant from when the blue tail ended the white flash started and it was gone.

I was very curious what this was. Did you come up with anything indicating what was the source of this January 19, 2013?

Orange Meteor With Green Aura And Long Orange Tail In The Sky Over Belair Manitoba

I live in Belair Manitoba Canada, and while driving north on Lakeshore Road, the kids and I seen this burning orange meteor with a green aura and long orange tail above the tree line.

It seemed to be traveling in a westerly direction towards Gimili. It was wonderful, so bright and the colors were beautiful.
Any idea on where it ended up?

Fiery Object With Blue/Green Tail Spotted In The Sky Outside Of Chilliwack British Columbia

Hi there, I was trying to Google to see if there was any news on what I saw fall out of the sky and I came across this sight and want to share my story. On January 12, 2013 just this last Saturday.

I was driving back from Burnaby, B.C. going east bound into Chilliwack, B.C. and my husband and I saw what looked like a comet fall out of the sky and land in a field. I can’t tell the distance, I’d say maybe 15 km away from us.

It was fiery looking and had a bluish green tail and it was going pretty fast. When it hit it made no sound. We were expecting to hear a big bang or something. It was silent.

Strangest thing I’ve ever seen. Time was about 7:00 p.m. or 8:00 p.m., not sure. Any idea what it could have been. Thank you.

Huge Blue/White Colored Ball Of Light With Long Tail Over Dayton Ohio

It was silent and moving very fast in a southwest direction over Wright Patt AFB and the AF museum. This is the first time I have ever seen anything like this.

Bright White Ball Of Light With Long Tail Seen Flying Fast Over South Of Yuba City California

Yes I saw it at 5:20 am. I was on Highway 99, 12 miles south of Yuba City, CA.

I first thought there was an explosion, it was so bright. I looked up to the east and saw the white streak with a very long what tail.

It also looked like it continued past the bright light (white ball) with a yellow streak. I have never seen a meteor that large and last that long.

Did NASA know it was coming because it was large. Anyone luck out and get a picture.

Blue/Yellow Oval Shaped Glowing Object With Short Tail Falling From The Sky Over Northern Virginia

Time:  Around 2:35 p.m. – 2 ;45 p.m.

Hello, We saw a strange object in the sky over Northern Virginia today at around 2:35-2:45 p.m. It looked like a white/bluish oval glowing shape falling from the sky, too slow to be a meteor or comet, and to big and bright to be any plane or aircraft.

A small glowing tail, but not smoke. As it got lower it got brighter, and then it seemed to stop falling, and just float, before it started to move away from us, to the west.

It got smaller and the glow got weaker as it faded away. We were able to see to other planes in the same area, as the sky was very blue and clear today, with no clouds. We are 100% sure that it was not a meteor or a plane. I don’t know if anyone else saw it? Thanks.

1/11/13,. here in Northern Idaho we saw a bright light with a green tail. It looked like it exploded before it hit the ground, even had a sonic boom, the only news feed I can find is on Spokesman Review (http://www.spokesman.com/stories/2013/jan/11/agency-flash-noise-over-rockford-was-meteor/) for Washington, meteor?

What metal or chemical would burn off in our atmosphere to show a beautiful green?

Green Object With Large Tail Following Behind Seen In The Sky From Pit Meadows British Columbia

The thing that they saw from Abbotsford, I saw the same thing around the same time in Pit Meadows, green ball with a large tail.

It came from the sky and landed a distance in front of my car on Lougheed Highway right outside the shell gas station.

The below follow-up was done by a fellow who is helping me out. It is greatly appreciated.

It was around the same time as her sighting. 6:20 a.m. I was going east bound. I just moved here sorry. I live in Poco, but work in Pit Meadows.

It was right in front of the shell station just after you drive under the Golden Ears way bridge.

It was coming right to left, the green ball part was the same color as the tail, probably had like a two car length tail on this thing.

Came from the right and hit the earth on the left side of the road by the Shell station.

I think it was a meteor or space junk. I know there are a couple meteor shows right now, but they are not at there peaks at this time. It was pretty :)

I saw the same thing when I was on my way to work this morning. Southeastern sky about 6:20 a.m.

I was driving from Bellingham Washington to Sedro Woolley.

I was closer to Sedro Woolley when I saw what I thought at first was a shooting star, but much bigger.

When it started it was a white light striking downward and about halfway through it’s decent it looked like it caught fire and had a huge flaming tail and then it disappeared. I thought it was a meteor or something. Do you know what it was?

I was driving on 495 going South in Massachusetts near Marlborough. I was with a friend of mine, and I saw what I thought at first was a shooting star. I realized it was way too close to be a shooting star and it was a white ball of light with a bright blue tail.

It moved a lot slower than a shooting star and was present in the sky for much longer than a shooting star normally would have been. It looked like something falling out of the sky. I'm so glad other people saw it too.

Object Was Bright Yellow/Fiery In Color With Long Tail Seen From Abbotsford British Columbia

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I had just gotten onto the freeway, going eastbound, on my way to work at 6:20 a.m., when I saw a large ball falling falling from the sky from the southeast.

It was mainly bright yellow in color (fiery), with a green outline and it had a long green tail trailing behind it. It looked like a burning comet with a long tail, and I lost sight of it as it fell behind a hill.

Hi, I take the Mount Lehman exit onto #1, eastbound towards Agassiz in the morning.

It was a clear morning, and cold. I think my car said it was -2, but it was dry for a change. I have noticed the stars on a few mornings in the last couple weeks, they are still very bright at 6:30, if it isn't raining or snowing.

The week before I am sure that I saw at least 3, very bright shooting stars one morning.

I got to work and even asked my co-worker, who drives from Chilliwack to Agassiz, if she saw these shooting stars, and she did.

I thought that was pretty neat, and then on Friday, I saw this thing, it was very bizarre! I was just getting onto the highway and on the left side of my car (I think that is north, not south as I initially mentioned).

The Abbotsford airport would be on my right, on the south side of the freeway.

It was pretty large, not like a shooting star that looks like it is so small and far away.

This was pretty big, and very bright, and it had a very long glowing tail.

It was as big as a car and it was as if it was a movie, with this bright comet, falling from the sky. It took me off guard, and I looked around to see if anyone around me noticed it. Kind of silly, because it's pitch black and anyone around is in a car, zooming by.

If it did hit the ground, I think it would be somewhere around the Mission bridge? I didn't hear anything, but my window's are all closed and the radio is blaring. It was very odd!

When I got home from work, I looked online to see if I could find anything out about a comet, or something that may have been seen by an anyone else, or was supposed to be in the sky that morning, but I didn't find anything.

Hi my name is (name removed), I live in Salem Connecticut and I saw this UFO fly over Saturday January 5th, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. also. I was in our living room watching TV with my daughter.

I looked out our large picture window and saw a large low flying bright white and blue blob with a tail streaming across the sky from east to west, was the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen, my girlfriend who was in the other room thought I was crazy and over exaggerating.

I told my co workers today at work what I saw, in disbelief one of them Googled it found your website and read exactly what I explained to them. I am excited that I was not the only one to experience this, I will never forget it.

Looked very orange with a short thick tail, not a big long tail, and no trail. I could not track it more than one outstretched  hand width before disappearing behind buildings in my sight line. Thanks for posting!

Object’s Color Went From Yellow To Green Blue Then White With Long Tail Over Massapequa Park New York

Dear Brian, I just Googled “shooting star January 5, 2013 6:30 pm” and it up pulled up your web site.

I have this to share with you.

I live in Massapequa Park, LI, NY and we have planes that come in from the south shore every night.  Last night, around 6:30 p.m.,  I was outside looking up at the sky, it was so clear and lots of star seven with the street lights and all.

All of the sudden, I see the large burst of yellow and the star was moving south, opposite of the directions the planes are going. So it took me a second to realize what I was looking at. 

The star then changes colors. It goes from yellow to green, then blue and then white with the longest tail ever that I have ever seen.

I have seen a lot of shooting stars, but nothing like this.  It was unbelievable, my son was with me and he saw it when it was white. It was slow at first, the it took off.

Blue/White Object With A Tail Of Sparks In The Sky Over New Haven Connecticut

I saw it in New Haven, CT. It was bluish-white and had a tail of sparks. I didn't see it change directions, it held a straight line and was visible for a few seconds. Many across the East Coast reported seeing it.
