01/21/2013 near midnight I was in my backyard and I saw a dark green light, it was a wide meteorite, with no tail. It fell From the south sky of Frederick, Maryland. What was it?

Bright Object Seen Then Small Explosion And Trace Of Red Left Behind In The Sky Over Timonium Maryland

My daughter and I also saw the object falling through the sky on Monday night. We were driving north on 83 in Timonium, MD when we saw a bright object falling, and then a small explosion of light before it disappeared.

It left a trace of red in the sky for about 5 minutes after it disappeared.

Huge Green Object Lighting Up The Sky With A Streak Of Green Behind Seen Over Kent Island Maryland

Time:  Just before midnight.

I too saw the green asteroid, or meteor in MD. I live on Kent Island which is about an hour away from Baltimore, going east.

I was driving home from a friends house about 12:00 a.m. 1/21/13 (last night) and I noticed the sky was lighting up green, then a huge streak of green light and something falling, flew, what seemed like right in front of me.

It was not your average "falling star" or anything that I had ever seen before. I have seen falling stars and even the meteor showers, they are tiny little white lights that pass by and burn out in a split second, this took a couple seconds to pass and was extremely large (or maybe just very close).

I agree with the guy in Baltimore though, it was quiet. I would think something that big would make noise, but I don't know. All I know is, it scared the crap out of me, it was like nothing I’d ever seen.

I wouldn't say it was a UFO, because of the way the lights were, it seemed to me that it was burning a bright green color, and the way the color was slightly flickering looked like, (from what I’ve seen on you tube videos of meteors close up), that the flickering of the light was caused by the burning and speed/friction.

But I honestly I cannot stress enough how crazy this looked, very large, very bright, seemed to be right on top of me! I am so glad I am not the only one who saw that last night.

I thought I was going crazy at some point.

Green Light Spotted In The Sky Over Cockeysville Maryland

Hello, I found your website after Googling to see if anyone else saw the green light in the sky last night.

I just wanted to let you know that last night around midnight my brother and I were traveling on Padonia Road in Cockeysville, MD (heading towards Cranbrook Road, right past Dulaney High's baseball fields) when we both saw the green flash that you described to our left hand side.

At first we thought it may have been a firework, but it definitely was not. Not sure what that was, possibly a meteor? Definitely odd.

Green Light/Object Fell From The Sky Over Baltimore Maryland

Hello Mr. Vike, I was standing on the bus stop facing away from traffic, blocking my face from the cold wind and that’s when I noticed a green light dropping from the sky.

It dropped fast and gave off a bright flash before it did and it was gone, but it did not make any noise that you would think to hear after seeing something drop from the sky that fast.

The drop had to be about two second from the time I noticed it until the time it flashed with out making any noise. What did I see? If it was a shooting star, is it to late to make a wish?

Large Blue Object/Light Hits The Ground At Baltimore Maryland

Hello I just saw a large blue ball of light with no tail falling at a rapid rate and looks like it hit the ground.

I have never seen anything like it and I have seen everything from asteroids to comets.

I was driving when I saw it and I even yelled what the heck was that to my girlfriend, and almost gave her a heart attack. The sighting was in Baltimore Maryland.

For exact location email back. Also there seems to be helicopters in the sky around where I thought it hit.

Red Objects Spotted In The Sky Over Darlington Maryland

To whom this may concern. I saw where someone else saw bright red lights in the sky on New Years Eve and thought I would also tell what I, my wife and grandson saw since they asked if anyone else saw anything to contact this e mail address.

About 11:45 p.m. New Years Eve on December 31, 2012 I took my dog out to go potty before watching the ball drop and saw two "very" bright large non blinking lights coming from the south heading north then turning to the west and headed in that direction until gone.

They were solid red and not blinking and very very bright. As close as they appeared in the sky I should have heard some kind of sound but none of us heard any sound at all.

In my 61 years I have seen many things in the sky being a sky watcher, but never saw anything like this.

I ran in and had my wife and grandson come out to see them. At first there was one and by the time they came out there was another one about a mile behind the first, flying the same pattern and direction . They were so bright that they looked like giant LED lights in the sky.

We live in Darlington Maryland and I know that Aberdeen Proving Ground is to the south of us, so I just assume they were some sort of Military aircraft. I still have never seen an aircraft with non blinking lights and never this bright of silent.

8 Red Balls Of Light Flying Over The State Of Maryland

I am in Maryland and me and a couple of friends were outside shortly after midnight when we saw 3 red balls of light and then 2 more and then about 8 all together. Hovering in the sky.

Then it looked like a ball of fire fall toward the ground. It was very freaky. None of us have ever seen anything like this before. I was wondering if anyone else in Maryland might have seen it also.

Red Glowing Light Quickly Ascended And Disappeared Over Southern Maryland

I am in southern MD. Christmas night at 6:00 p.m. I saw a red glowing light right over the tree tops coming toward my house, no sound, seemed to be orb-like?

It seemed to stop, then quickly ascended and disappeared. I don't believe in UFOs, but after that night I was freaked out.

3 Large Orange Lights In The Sky Seen From Ocean City Maryland

Time:  Approx: 7:30 p.m.

While driving south on coastal Highway in OC MD at around 7:30 p.m. tonight I saw 3 big orange lights in the sky.

At first I thought they were part of a Christmas light display on top of a tall condo building, then realized they were over the ocean.

Couldn't tell if they were moving  because I was driving. Looked at road, then back at sky and 2 were gone. As I watched the 3rd faded out of sight. Once home, I was letting my dogs out and looked back toward where I had seen them and now there were 4

This time they were definitely moving as if in in a formation, all together. One by one they got further away until they faded out of sight.

60 Feet Ball Of Fire/UFO Hovered Over Druid Hill Park Baltimore Maryland

Time:  Dusk

Full Description of Event/Sighting: While my mother brother and I were watching TV, my brother looks over to the window on his right and jumps up from chair and says, "oh crap look at this".

We went to the window and observed a ball of fire floating over the house adjacent to ours. The object was about 25 feet wide. It hovered over house then proceeded across the main street in front of our home then into Druid Hill Park.

The object stopped over a clearing in park and hovered over it in the air at about the height of the tallest tree 50 -60 feet maybe. It moved back and forth about 4 times, then it just stopped.

It then began to get smaller as it ascended, until it looked almost like a white spec in the sky. It then looped up into the sky and disappeared.

3 Strange Lights In The Sky Over Chesapeake Beach Maryland

I'm sitting here in my hotel room in Chesapeake Beach, MD watching some meteors.

I notice 3 very strange lights in tight formation. They have a wing of lights from both sides.

5 Glowing Orange Lights Seen In The Sky Over Deep Creek Maryland

I saw some strange orange glowing lights over Deep Creek MD tonight!

They almost looked like inverted candles in Chinese lanterns.

Hi Brian, there were about five of them, and they were moving slowly north, fading out one by one.

I saw them around 6:45 pm EST, and I didn't hear anything, but I was in my car driving.

I pulled over to watch them until they all went out. Very strange!

Orange Light Spotted In The Sky Over Harford County Maryland

Brian, I live in Harford County, Maryland and about 15 minutes ago, I saw something in the sky that was very quiet and it was an orange light, but it looked like it was in a lantern.

The light was very bright and it flew low and stayed in the sky for quite a while, not falling that is for sure.

It is a clear night, a chill in the air and all the stars are out and you can see them all very clearly.

This was very strange. This “thing” didn’t make any noise.  Any thoughts?

Orange Lights Over Assateague Island Maryland

Date:  August 23, 2012
Time:  Between 9:00 p.m. and midnight.

We also seen the same orange lights over the Island on the Federal, Maryland side camping on a walk-in sight on the evening of August 23rd, 2012 at some time between 9:00 p.m. and midnight. 

All three lights we active in a triangle for a minute or so, then disappeared one by one over about 5 seconds. 

We had no explanation and the lights were not flashing like a flare and the were too high in the sky. Also not blinking like navigational lights on an aircraft. Do you have an answer?

Light Darts Around The Night Sky Seen From Grantsville Maryland

Time:  Evening.

Hello, my husband and I were in Grantsville, MD in the mountains, Saturday night, August 18, 2012. We were outside looking for falling stars, visiting from central, MD. We have a little trailer up there.

I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me, and I asked my husband. "Did you see that?" He said, "If you mean that moving star, yes!" I said, "Stars don't move, not like that!"

We continued to watch it and it darted and dipped from the right to he left and then up, and back down to its starting point, we'd say, as far up in the sky, over the horizon, that it was in the direction of Ohio.

At one point, I was scared half to death because it appeared to be speeding in our direction and I panicked, just as quickly as it did that move, it darted back. It also appeared to get brighter and then disappear, reappearing at will.

I thought I saw a second one, through the trees. Finally, it seemed to move away and out of sight. Can't wait to read more reports on your website! Thank you.

Fleet Of Objects/Lights High In The Sky Over Baltimore Maryland

My name is (name removed) on 9/22/12 about 9:00 p.m. me, my cousin and two daughter's were outside, when the kids said why are those stars moving like that in the sky.

We looked up and it looked like hundreds of moving stars, some brighter than others. We could tell they were not airplane's because there were no wings and too far up in the sky.

There were fleets of them moving towards the moon and we watched for about 30 minutes, never seen anything like this before.  I'm in Baltimore MD.

Bright Orange Crescent Shaped Object In The Sky Over Hurlock Maryland

Date:  August 22, 2012
Time:  9:55 p.m.

From Hurlock Maryland looking to the East over the Atlantic Ocean, at 9:55 PM 8/22/2012 EST three large bright globe shaped lights aligned vertically appeared in the sky instantaneously.

They glowed bright orange for several minutes and as they began to dim it appeared as if there was a bright orange vertical line connecting them.

They continued to dim, the center globe totally disappearing before the upper globe and the lower globe disappearing slowly to form a dimly lit crescent to complete darkness.  

Approximately 40 minutes later a much larger crescent shaped glow in the same general eastern sky area appeared in bright orange sky formation.

It was much larger than the first globe shapes and dissipated from top to bottom with the bottom becoming blurry before totally disappearing from sight. 

This is the first time I have seen this color and intensity in 50+ years of observing the sky.
