My name is Liz, I live in Plainfield, Illinois. On Saturday 8/25/12 at approximately 10:45 p.m. I was in the car heading north on Naperville/Plainfield road when directly to my right (east) I saw a round, orange, glowing ball of light was in the sky, low to the ground, about 1000 feet.
There were no flashing lights or signs of it being a plane. The light seemed to retract back into itself leaving a solid round mass, then it was gone.
