Shape of Objects: Round.
Full Description of Event/Sighting: While I was walking my dog, I notices a round reddish/orange sphere moving from east to west at about the same speed as a plane. It stopped once and move back slightly.
I ran inside to get my daughter and her husband and when I returned it was gone. I looked like a real idiot, but after a minute or so another one showed up moving in the same direction at about the same altitude.
This time it stopped for a few seconds, moved around slightly and then headed away from us at an incredible speed and disappeared quickly. This happened one more time and we were all amazed at what we saw.
We waited for several minutes and noticed a lot of air traffic that we are pretty sure were fighter jets giving us the idea that they were scrambled to find out what it was. I an 52 and never have I seen anything like this.
There were a total of three that looked identical. Thing is, this thing was about a 1/4" in diameter and appeared to be about 5 miles way meaning it was pretty large. I know it is hard to gauge how far a light is way, but I had some distant trees to compare it to.
